2024 Forumula 1 Sprint Weekends
The 2024 Formula 1 season will feature a total of six sprint races, as announced by the world championship promoters. The initial sprint weekend is set to coincide with the Chinese Grand Prix, the 5th event out of 24, scheduled for April 19-21 in Shanghai. Following this, a new sprint weekend is planned for the Miami Grand Prix, which is the 6th round, occurring two weeks later.
The third sprint race of the season is slated for the weekend of June 28-30 during the Austrian Grand Prix, which is the 11th round of the championship and is held in Spielberg. Towards the end of the season, drivers will engage in three additional sprint races during the United States Grand Prix, the Brazilian Grand Prix, and the Qatar Grand Prix.

The 2024 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix is scheduled to take place from March 7 to March 9, with the main race set for Saturday, March 9. The Jeddah Corniche Circuit, located in Saudi Arabia, made its debut on the Formula 1 calendar in 2021, joining its Middle Eastern counterparts in Bahrain and Abu Dhabi. Crafted by the renowned Tilke company in collaboration with Formula 1’s Motorsports team, the circuit boasts a distinctive blend of temporary street layouts with some permanent sections.
The circuit’s inaugural race showcased its unique characteristics. With an average speed of around 250km/h, it emerged as the fastest street circuit in Formula 1 history, second only to Monza, renowned as ‘The Temple of Speed.’ Featuring a staggering 27 corners, many of them quick and sinuous, drivers faced a daunting challenge navigating the scenic Jeddah waterfront.
