American tennis sensation Coco Gauff continued her impressive winning streak by triumphing over Greek sixth seed Maria Sakkari with a score of 6-2, 6-4, securing her spot in the semi-finals of the China Open. Gauff, the 19-year-old prodigy who recently clinched her first major title at the US Open, has now extended her winning streak to an astounding 16 matches.

Gauff, currently ranked world number three, has been on an exceptional run since her first-round exit at Wimbledon. Since then, she has dominated the court, securing her first WTA 1,000 title in Cincinnati and a maiden Grand Slam victory in New York. Her impressive performance in Beijing against Sakkari showcased her prowess, taking the victory in just one hour and 20 minutes without losing a single serve.

On the other side of the court, Iga Swiatek, the former world number one, showcased her remarkable resilience in a challenging match against Caroline Garcia. Swiatek emerged victorious after a hard-fought battle that saw her come from a set down to clinch the victory with a score of 6-7 (8-10), 7-6 (7-5), 6-1. Nail-biting tie-breaks and moments of the brilliant play marked the intense match.
