World Tennis League Preview 2023
Season two of the World Tennis League is set to showcase top tennis talent, featuring women’s world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka and men’s world No. 3 Daniil Medvedev. The event is scheduled to take place at Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Arena from December 21 to 24, promising an unforgettable experience for both tennis and music enthusiasts.
The Falcons, Hawks, Eagles, and Kites will engage in a 3-day Round Robin, with the top two teams progressing to the final showdown on December 24. Throughout the four days, teams will compete in men’s and women’s singles, doubles, and mixed doubles, vying for victory and the coveted championship title on the final day.
The tournament kicks off with the Hawks facing off against the Honor FX Falcons on the opening day. Notable matchups include Swiatek against Rybakina and a potential clash between Medvedev and Tsitsipas when Team Eagles takes on SG Mavericks Kites.
Day two features a match between Rybakina’s Honor FX Falcons and Sabalenka’s SG Mavericks Kites, followed by PBG Eagles, led by Medvedev, and Team Hawks, featuring Ruud.
Saturday, the final day of group play, will witness crucial clashes as Rublev’s PBG Eagles compete against Tiafoe’s Honor FX Falcons. At the same time, SG Maverick Kites, led by Badosa, face Garcia’s Hawks later in the evening.
Notably, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Holger Rune, Sania Mirza, Novak Djokovic, and Nick Kyrgios will not be returning this year despite their involvement in the final last year.
